Reflections by Dr Lyndon Bouah – WC Schools Chess

This last weekend was an exciting one for chess in the Western Cape. Events at school levels were held across the Peninsula and the Western Cape.

The event took place at Sarepta Secondary school from 10 to 11 March 2017. The total registrations were 352 of which 242 were boys and girls 110 which is fantastic. There were twenty officials who included arbiters, assistant arbiters, score keepers, computer assistants, runner and even bouncers!
