Notice: Arrival of FIDE delegates for site inspection of Cape Town in South Africa’s bid to host the 43rd World Chess Olympiad in 2018
Chess South Africa is bidding to host the 43rd World Chess Olympiad in 2018 at the International Convention Centre in the City of Cape Town.
It gives us great pleasure to inform you of the arrival of two delegates from the world chess federation FIDE from 16thJuly and 20 July 2014 in their site inspection of Cape Town as the possible host city of the 43rd World Chess Olympiad in 2018!
The FIDE delegates Mr Nigel Freeman and Mr David Jarryd will perform site inspection of the Cape Town International Convention Centre as the playing venue for the 2018 Chess Olympiad, hotel accommodation, transport, amenities, security and tourism in the City of Cape Town and the broader Western Cape as host Province under the auspices of Chess South Africa.
We look forward to showcase the best of what our mother city has to offer and impress upon our visitors the importance of bringing the 43rd Chess Olympiad to Africa.
