Every morning from about five, the cacophony of motors and motorbikes hooting starts to wake me up. I discovered that in fact most of my classmates start hearing the sounds as the campus we are staying on is near to two main roads. The roads are called the Raj Bhavan road and the Panjagutta road.

This past weekend was a very nice one for me as I met Mrs Linda Van Wyk and Mrs Yolanda Prinsloo who are passionate about physically challenged chess. They and I part of the Commission under Chessa. Many hours were spent discussing chess and how to improve conditions for our physically challenged players.
On Friday 9 December 2016 I attended the launch of the Nelson Mandela Race that will be held on 11 February 2017. That day marks the 27th anniversary of the day our great icon left the prison walls of Victor Verster prison in Paarl.
